ISVA Swish Project Katrina Kavanagh
Independent Sexual Violence Advisor Katrina is specially trained to support people involved in sex work and LGBT communities who have been victims of rape and/or sexual assault. Sandwell Women's Aid Female Offenders' Services
In Sandwell, Dudley and Birmingham, we offer this custodial alternative through The Mariposa Project, a partnership project with Staffordshire and West Midlands Probation Trust. Mariposa offers Specified Activities to female offenders as part of a Community Sentence. A holistic programme of group and one to one support focusses on identifying their context to offending and improving key aspects of their lives (including finances, housing, health, parenting, self-esteem, relationships) to empower them to live a crime free life.
